Terms and conditions

Last updated 7 November 2026

These terms apply to every payment made on www.askandy.co.za. By making a payment you agree to them. They’re short and written in plain English on purpose.

1. Who you’re dealing with

This website is run by Andy Higgins, an individual based in South Africa (“Andy”, “we”, “us”). Contact details are on the contact page.

2. What this site is for

Ask Andy was created to demonstrate Bob Pay QR+, with PayShap as its first payment method, and to show how easily a website can be integrated with Bob Pay. Payments made here are real payments in South African rand.

3. What you’re paying for

4. Prices and amounts

All amounts are in South African rand (ZAR). The amount defaults to R5.00 and you can change it to anything from R1.00 to R3,000.00. There are no hidden fees for you; the amount you see is the amount you pay.

5. How payments are processed

Payments are processed by Bob Pay, a division of Bob Group (Pty) Ltd (registration number 2000/010005/07). When you press Pay you leave this site and complete the payment on Bob Pay’s secure payment page. Your banking and card details are handled by Bob Pay and your bank. They are never sent to, seen by or stored on this website. Bob Pay’s own terms and conditions, available at www.bobpay.co.za, also apply to your payment.

6. Confirmation

Bob Pay emails you a receipt once your payment succeeds. This site independently verifies every payment with Bob Pay before recording it.

7. Cancellations and refunds

You can cancel at any point before you approve the payment, and nothing is charged. After paying, you can ask for a full refund at any time. See the refund policy.

8. Using the site fairly

Please only pay with an account or card you’re authorised to use. We may decline or refund payments that look fraudulent or abusive.

9. Privacy

We collect only what’s needed to process your payment. See the privacy policy.

10. Liability

This site is provided as a demonstration. To the extent the law allows, Andy isn’t liable for indirect losses arising from its use. Nothing in these terms limits your rights under the Consumer Protection Act or the Electronic Communications and Transactions Act.

11. Law and changes

These terms are governed by the laws of the Republic of South Africa. We may update them from time to time; the date at the top shows the latest version, and the version in force when you paid applies to your payment.
